Macpek was founded in Quebec City in 1974 by Claude Pouliot. Inspired by the family tradition, his two sons; Jean-François, President, and Claude-André, Vice President, co-own the business in which they have been fully active since 1989.

"The privilege we had of working in every department of the company gave us the ability to precisely understand the needs of our customers, outside and inside the business'', the two brothers say.

Macpek is known to be both the most important, independent, heavy vehicle parts distributor in the Province of Quebec and the largest passenger car and light truck wheel distributor/designer in North America.

RSSW / The Perfect Match

To ensure the proper differentiation of its two networks, Macpek officially launched the RSSW brand in May 2015.

These marketing efforts offer the opportunity to actively promote the sales of alloy and steel wheels directly to end users. The new RSSW transactional website has the ability to redirect every customer's individual request to the nearest authorized RSSW dealer, which are sorted by territories. It’s an optimal and efficient way to maximize customer satisfaction and ultimately increase the sales of our RSSW partners.

With an inventory of more than 100,000 wheels, we are able to process all our orders, with a 98% fill rate. At RSSW, we fulfill the needs of our customers year round.

And by offering more than 528 different alloy and steel wheel models, RSSW is able to perfectly match the preference and budget of every customer. Each year, RSSW develops several new wheels to answer market changes and evolving customer needs. Along the way, over 2,000 fitment tests are performed annually to maintain an up-to-date and accurate application guide. Installation hardware kits are combined with every wheel to simplify sales and maximize customer service and satisfaction.

With its 14 branches and five distribution centers, the RSSW network reaches and deliver, within 24 hours, to most of the tire shops and car dealerships, located in every territory, across Canada. And to ensure and maintain such a short turnaround, a new distribution center was opened in Edmonton, Alberta, in August 2015.

Each implemented action, change or adjustment at RSSW is driven by our common desire to "Make our customers' lives easier." We are committed on a daily basis to identify the "yellow switches" in our industry. To envision our search for obvious challenges, let us go back to the 70's, when cars had this yellow button, which was located in the glove compartment, to electrically open the vehicle's trunk. That being said, we can all agree that it was not the most efficient idea.
